If you love cheese, the Browns Cheese Experience is a must-do just west of Nairobi. This family-run creamery has spent more than 30 years crafting award-winning artisanal cheeses from organic milk supplied by local farmers.
A visit to Browns is about more than tasting cheese—it’s about stepping into the heart of Kenya’s countryside. Guests are welcomed with a drink and snack before exploring the farm, watching the cheesemaking process, and venturing into the aging caves where thousands of wheels mature.
The highlight is the guided tasting: 8–10 handcrafted cheeses paired with homemade breads, chutneys, and house wines. Afterwards, guests sit down to a farm-to-table lunch featuring fresh produce from Browns’ organic gardens, followed by dessert and coffee. Families are warmly welcomed—children can play in the gardens, meet the animals, and even try milking a cow.
