This place could really be Nairobi's most popular restaurant it is always packed. Be sure to make a reservation. Last night there were no empty tables (on a Wednesday night) and counted at least 10 birthdays (the waiters singing). Was disappointed by the samosa, i think they must have changed their cheese. Shout out to Steven for being a fantastic waiter and being patient with us and not rushing us till 2am.
A long time favourite- the food is amazing and they change it up often enough so it never seems to get old. (Downside to this is that some of your favourites can disappear :().
The ambience is good but it can get quite noisy if you are seated near the bar. The Service has been a hit and miss in my experience- some days good, others times not so good. I always recommend the Talisman.
The food is good, lots of flavors and the meat cooked to how one asks for it. The first time I had mashed potatoes here they were just ok but the next time they were really creamy hence amazing. The service is ok but hats off to Titus who is exceptionally good and funny. The ambiance is 100 :)
Honestly, the food is decent, had a burger which was pretty okay but hardly the best I have had in Nairobi, the setting of the outside restaurant, however, is the best in Nairobi. Service is great, prices are a bit on the high side compared to the quality of the food but overall, the experience me and my friend had was great mostly due to the nature that surrounded us.
I really don't know what the hype is about this place. It may be the ambience, which is terrific. It's kind of hard to go wrong with an outdoor location in the Karen-Ngong neighbourhood. I ordered a burger, which was O.K. and definitely not memorable. My brother ordered a pasta, which was also O.K. We came on a Sunday afternoon, just when they were getting ready for lunch, so it wasn't packed, but by the time we left, it was. I'm thinking I should've ordered something a bit more exotic to truly walk away with a satisfying experience.
