They refused to apply EATOUT DISCOUNT for ordinary lunch menu, not for special discounted offer menu.

Food is excellent. Japanese chef n all staff are very kind. Except only one Kenyan woman who seemed a hall manager.

She was awful enough to show arrogant attitude n not to hide her unpleasant countenance to innocent customers while taking an order n request of EAT OUT discount.

We lost our tastes for wonderful food. I wonder what her matter was. That is only shame of this restaurant.

Unimaginable in Japan.

Pork belly, amazing! Great food, attentive staff, always a good decision.

My goodness! I had the best time here with my family on Christmas Eve. You walk through the door and the staff welcome you warmly and the some thing happens when you leave. The service was very personalised where the waitresses (Tryphosa and Linda) took their time to go through my order with me. When the food finally arrived, oh men ... All I can say is that I still have dreams of it -ha!This is a rare gem! I'll definitely be coming again - Definitely!

My friend made me visit the restaurant because he had seen a Japanese chef.Well, It was not a disappointment. The place has a serene environment especially if you’re visiting during lunchtime the interiors are really cool. I have tried a lot of Japanese cuisines but I liked their pork ginger and fried squid. Nice place for late lunch and dinner with family

I have to say that one of the best service I've had in Kenya is from Cheka Izakaya. The starters were delicious but the main was underwhelming.

Service, service, service. it was really poor to be honest. We were received well and that is as far as it got. They took too long to come take our orders, and when they finally did, they brought the orders piece meal after long intervals until we complained we want all our orders brought together so that we eat together.

Here is the worst part, after we finished eating, it took 30-40 minutes without our table being cleared, we had to request for it to be cleared. terrible if you ask me.

As for the food, the deep fried octopus was actually quite nice. The ginger pork was lean which is a good thing but nothing to write home about really. Oh, and i enjoyed the salmon rice.

Second time at Cheka and I enjoyed myself. The #NRW2017 dinner menu is great with a lot of options. The service could have been faster. That said, they were friendly and welcoming. I had the sashimi platter for a starter. And just like last time I loved it but wished there was more of it. Especially the Tuna. The soy noodles with braised pork was yum and the portion generous. The green tea ice cream I could take or leave. I'll definitely be going back.

I have been to Izakaya several times. I love the service and the ambience. There is a garden behind the restaurant where you can wander for a while. The fact that they bring you maasai shukas in the evening if it is cold and the charcoal Niko is not working for you, quite warmed my heart. (See what I did there?
