The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) and the Ministry of Tourism have announced a strategic partnership with EatOut Kenya to promote culinary tourism.

 

This alliance is centered on three core aims:

  • Showcase Kenya’s amazing agricultural produce.
  • Promote Nairobi as a vibrant urban culinary destination.
  • Drive enterprise and job creation in the hospitality sector.

Taste the Magic Guides

A major component of this initiative is the creation of two essential resources

 

  1. A comprehensive interactive guide to Food & Drink in Nairobi available both in a high-quality print edition for distribution and digitally on www.magicalkenya.com/taste-the-magic

 

  1. Digital Booking Platform allowing tourists to easily book unique experiences, including:
    1. Foodie Tours:
      1. Cheese factory tours
      2. Coffee roastery tours
      3. Gin distillery tours
      4. Micro Brewery tours
      5. Nyama Choma experiences
      6. Street food tours
      7. Tea farm tours 

 

  1. Unique Dining Experience
    1. Celebrity cooking classes 
    2. Breakfast in the Park
    3. Chefs Tables at some of the top restaurants in Nairobi
    4. Kenyan Coast – Ali Barbour’s Cave in Diani, Salty’s Barge in Kilifi Creek & the Tamarind Dhow in Mombasa.

Nairobi Restaurant Week 2026: The Grand Kick-Off

The partnership officially launches with Nairobi Restaurant Week (NRW) 2026, which will run from January 20, 2026, through February 1, 2026. Participating restaurants will design special menus specifically curated to showcase their best dishes and celebrate the vibrancy of Nairobi’s dining scene.
