Nairobi’s most anticipated culinary event is set to return to the city with over 70 restaurants participating from 25th January to 4th February. This time around, we’ve made it even more exciting with offers starting from Ksh. 1,000 to Ksh. 2,500 for two-course lunch menus, and Ksh. 2000 to Ksh. 5000 for three-course dinner menus.
In partnership with Safaricom, #NRW2018 will give food lovers the chance to enjoy unique customised menus and some of the new cuisines that have recently made their way into the city’s eateries. All menu information is housed on EatOut’s new app which is available for download from the Apple App Store and Android Play Store. In addition to all the restaurant information one may desire, EatOut App users can claim a complimentary drink or further discounts on their bill at select NRW restaurants.
NRW2018 kicked off on January 23rd with a chic launch party at SOI Restaurant at dusitD2 Nairobi, where guests and media were treated to an array of delicious Thai bitings, decadent desserts and inspired cocktails.
Michelle Slater, the General Manager at EatOut Kenya highlights: “Nairobi Restaurant Week aims to showcase Kenya’s culinary scene with all its vibrancy. This year, chefs at the various participating restaurants have created menus that not only showcase their expertise but also guarantee patrons of an unforgettable and affordable experience.”
This year, through the partnership between #NRW2018 and Baileys, diners will get a complimentary serving of Baileys along with their dessert at select NRW restaurants. What’s more, taxi-hailing app, Taxify has partnered with NRW, offering Ksh. 500 off on one trip throughout the eleven days. Enter the code NRW2018 to redeem your discount. NRW has also caught the attention of Google Africa, which has led to a partnership that will see Google improve its local guide information for restaurants, making it easier for food lovers to find all the dining out information they need in one click.
This edition’s ultimate prize will see two lucky winners win business class tickets to Istanbul, Turkey, courtesy of Turkish Airlines. They will experience an unforgettable street food tour exploring Istanbul’s Old City, the back streets surrounding the famous Spice Bazaar and Grand Bazaar. To qualify, simply post your restaurant photos on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #NRW2018.
Other partners for this year’s edition include the Kenya Tourism Board, Radio Africa, Aquamist, Yummy Magazine, Adsite, Pearl Rice and Tusker Malt.
