I didn't know they served food! Premiere stop to have wine ... And a good time with the ladies ;)
I was there on a Yummy Tuesday. So the first server who approached us was denying the yummy offer and was rather unhelpful, we managed to get someone else's help though, Vincent, and he was amazing!! He helped us pick a great wine, taught us a little wine knowledge, gave great suggestions, great guy! The selection is pretty wide, you can't miss something to your liking. There will definitely be a next time
When I think of Njaanuary, I think The Wine shop. Had lunch at this place on 28th for NRW2017 a few friends and it was one of (if not the most) disappointing restaurant I've been to so far. Had a chicken and mushroom risotto as the main snack and lemon tart for desert. The 'main course' was literally a mushy lump of rice, about the size of a tennis ball with few strips pf chicken on top. If you are looking to eat and get full, do not visit the wineshop; the portions are for starvation. When I asked my friend what he had, he simply said 'worse' end of story. Taste would be about 4.5, spicy though. The rest of the plate was overdressed salad. The desert was too sweet, too tangy (for me), we ended up leaving it too. My take, for NRW2017, move on, it's not worth a penny.
I am normally not into wines,so I do not have much knowledge especially when it comes to selection.I won a Wine voucher last year with Kenya Weddings and when I visited the Wine Shop I received a very warm welcome, the attendant was patient with me and he gave me insights into wine tasting and allowed me to taste variety of brands before selecting my bottles. It is an amazing place the environment is serene!
