Wine Shop

671 Piedmont Plaza, Ngong Rd, Nairobi

Restaurant Information

Ah, wine bars, with their wine, food, and socializing and more socializing. Now Kenya has a beautiful wine bar of its own. Use the wine bar for what it does best (besides meeting other people) -- experimenting with something new for your palate, either with a flight of wine or by the glass.

The Wine Shop features a fantastic selection of new and old world wines from all around the globe. While you'll find croissants in any old bakery, did you think you could find good croissants, tender and flaky and buttery ones in a Wine Shop?. Well now you can, and they are truly great almond croissants and pain au chocolat. The wine shop also showcases delicate tarts and truffles, gourmet sandwiches, freshly baked breads and much more. Happy exploring! The Wine Shop is located right underneath Brew Bistro and Lounge.

The wine and pizza pairing was amazing. Excellent service from Kelvin too.

Was here for NRW 2017. The portion of the main - Chicken & Mushroom Risotto - is 100% Jane Mukami approved. A handful of rice, with a shit load of lettuce.

When I think of Njaanuary, I think The Wine shop. Had lunch at this place on 28th for NRW2017 a few friends and it was one of (if not the most) disappointing restaurant I've been to so far. Had a chicken and mushroom risotto as the main snack and lemon tart for desert. The 'main course' was literally a mushy lump of rice, about the size of a tennis ball with few strips pf chicken on top. If you are looking to eat and get full, do not visit the wineshop; the portions are for starvation. When I asked my friend what he had, he simply said 'worse' end of story. Taste would be about 4.5, spicy though. The rest of the plate was overdressed salad. The desert was too sweet, too tangy (for me), we ended up leaving it too. My take, for NRW2017, move on, it's not worth a penny.
