I had the chicken stir fry with potatoe wedges, salad and a cup of masala tea. The presentation was good. The stir fry was tasty, but was a tad salty. I would've wished for a more generous serving of salad. I enjoyed my meal. The tea was 'traditionally' made i.e. boiled well, not too milky, with a taste of masala..just the way i like it. My friend had the Urban burger with fries and salad and an oreo milkshake. Presentation was ok. The first thing my friend said was that the burger was small. She enjoyed her meal though. The milkshake was refreshing..full of crushed oreos. Our waitress Ruth was very friendly and helpful with her recommendations. She gave us good service. At the end of our meal we each got a white forest cake to take home for free!
So, a pizza takes almost half and hour to get ready and when it shows up its not a pizza. Its uncooked dough with chicken pieces all over and bad melted cheese. And the packaging is not meant for Pizza! Then the accompanying salad is a mixture of fruit and vegetables: hoho, cucumber/corgette, lettuce, carrot, melon and pineapple. Really guys really? If it were not for the nice waiter, I'd not even have bothered. 650 is a lot of money to throw away I could have gone to a normal joint and eaten githeri or ugali for less that amount and got value for it. Go figure!
The ambiance is good for a quiet meal but I can't say so much for the food. I asked for samosas and they were too oily and overly spiced and when I opted for a cake instead it was gooey and didn't taste fresh at all. I wouldn't go back unless I just want to have a drink I don't think you can massacre that.
I love their breakfast, especially their pancakes. I also love their lunch offerings such as the chicken wing and their sandwiches. They do need to improve on their delivery service as they often often one thing or another. At times it cutlery, other times it the butter, etc. I always eat there. A good place to also meet up friends for coffee to catch up.
