Fantastic meal and excellent service. My wife and I absolutely enjoyed the evening. It was a tad bit pricey but I expected as much. Superb restaurant.
This is formal dining at its best...it really is. Another one of my top three! the food is...words fail to describe. My favourite, Pan-fried fish with truffle aioli to accompany your fries, the experience had me quiet for a while at first bite...that good. Not to mention their steak which is made from aged Angus beef, always done perfectly as per your requests and so tender, the lobster...basically whatever you choose, you will be sending your compliments to the chef. The service is exemplary. Use them for recommendations if you're not to sure about the choice of food and wine. They are more than willing to help. The only downside is, it is definitely not easy on the pockets but it comes with the exclusive dining rights. So it's Ok to make it an indulgence every once in a while or better yet for special occasions.
Costly when u have accompaniments charged seperately. Thanks for the additional treats though.
Ambience was messed up by the fact that they played one CD (Kayamba Africa) for 90% of the 3 hours we spent in the restaurant. Cuts of meat were however exceptional and the chef who came to inquire on our meal very professional and courteous . The concept of charging for the side dishes/accompaniments separate from the main course is daylight robbery!!
