The service was exemplary, waiters (Collins) were very friendly and helpful especially because it was our first time trying Jamaican cuisine. The manager was very inviting and jovial. I recommend their awesome Jerk Chicken and famous sorrel. They went out of their way to make my boyfriend's birthday a wonderful experience. The chef whipped out delicious sponge cake (which was not in their menu for that day). Definitely going back to try other delicacies on their menu. .
Was very disappointed when another couple got there food before we did yet they walked in well over 15 minutes after we did. I'd hate to think the fact that they are white had something to do with that.
That said, the pumpking soup was good, though I'd suggest changing the name to ginger soup, haha. The oxtail and jerk chicken with rice were ok. The dessert, while not what we wanted, was the highlight of our meal, we had the tropical mousse and banana cake. Yum.
I had been waiting for Caribbean cuisine to come to Nairobi for the longest time. Finally I got to try the jerk chicken, and if didn't disappoint. Went there for NRW2016 and we loved the service, thanks to Brian for being so attentive, the food came fairly quick. Started off with sorrel, their traditional drink and so refreshing especially in this heat. After which we went straight into mains. Jerk chicken was spiced just right and the curry goat was wonderful. The dessert was my favourite as always and I loved the the tart, melt in your mouth pastry, tasty filling and a scoop of ice cream on the top. Yum
Had a go at their #NRW2016 lunch menu. Service was lovely, very friendly staff, shouts to Linda who was very helpful. Enjoyed the jerk chicken, the curry goat and roti. Slow cooked nicely tender goat and perfectly seasoned however I feel like the curry could be stepped up a bit if deboned. My only other issue was with the salad which was a bit soggy (Linda explained it's because it's usually pre-made and frozen). Maybe a fresh salad next time seeing as Zucchini is right downstairs so fresh veg is easily accessible. Also the hibiscus/ginger drink is pretty bomb.
