My dear friend and I had a lovely dinner experience during the Nairobi Restaurant Week 2017 :) The food was very tasty as we enjoyed the starter; a twice cooked pork belly with carrot and cashew nut puree, orange miso glaze and pickled onions! I would recommend the red wine braised oxtail of beef as the main course any day! My friend had the pan roasted nile perch but we were both disappointed on how dry and unpalatable it was. The chef must have been very exhausted because we hoped that this wasn't standard practice.
For dessert, we both had the lime steam pudding with coconut ice cream, lime and lemongrass syrup & chocolate ice cream with peanut praline and peanut butter ice cream. I would however recommend the latter. **
I am not a fan of beer so the complementary glass of belgium amber ale did not really appeal to me so I had their wonderful cocktail juice :)
The ambiance & value was worth every penny we spent there. We did not like the service since our waitress was a bit cold and this made the lead time between our orders very slow. Loved everything else though! Definitely going back!
