Until this past weekend, Peri Peri ranked highly in my good value, good food, minimal fuss restaurants. Now I wouldn't go back even for a free meal! I ordered one of their starters for Sunday lunch to try something new. When the food arrived, the chicken strips turned out to be heavily breaded garlic-tasting pieces of something that hardly had any chicken. After a single bite, I asked our waitress if I could return the meal to the kitchen as I couldn't eat it. She hesitated till I said I was happy to pay for it but didn't want to eat it. A second waiter came and after consultation with the manager, told me that I could replace this with another meal. I asked if i'd need to pay for the first or if this was an outright replacement. I was assured it was a replacement but got billed for both!!! When I spoke to the manager AFTER PAYING to give feedback, I witnessed some of the worst customer service responses I've had: 1. He said this was a best selling dish and wondered why I would not like it 2. He accused me of returning another meal. Since this isn't true, when i asked him to substantiate he backed down and... 3. Said that the business should not lose money on the meal since they couldn't resell it. After getting charged for 2 meals and accused of stuff I didn't do simply because I chose to provide feedback, this restaurant will not be receiving any further business from me.
Good food and great service. Great place for families as there is space for kids to run around. Its quiet so it can also be a great place for meetings. Relatively friendly prices considering the location
Everything about this place is amazing..to those who haven't been here i advice you to try it out.
This restaurant holds a lot of sentimental value to me because I spend a lot of my time enjoying the rich Indian cuisine it has to offer. The food is amazingly scrumptious, the chooza and poussin chicken is something special here. The owner is friendly and always makes sure his customers are satisfied he tries to make all customers comfortable to the best of his abilities.
Since I've spent a lot of my time in this restaurant I've seen the kind of customers it attracts, I have seen myself sitting opposite a member of parliament more than once, business tycoons and ambassadors.
The service is quick unless it gets too crowded then it's understandable.
The value for money in this restaurant is ridiculously good, you get more bang for your buck in this restaurant than anywhere else in Lavington. This restaurant is a hidden gem, in which every foodie must find.
