Lunch on a miserably cold Saturday with a few -always hungry- teenagers in tow. We were greeted with a big smile and got a jiko near the table in no time. Ordered fish & chips and mercantile burgers. The food was excellent, large, crispy chips, fish succulent in a delectable batter with coleslaw and the BIG burgers were juicy and cooked to perfection. Not all teens could finish their food, meaning portions were really generous. Service was attentive up to the last minute. The only minus was the dreadful, loud rap music.
We came for lunch and I could have stayed the rest of the day and just eat. Fantastic atmosphere very attentive staff and the food was super yummy. Butternut fritters and doughnuts were to die for and so was the burger. Iced Cafe latte also comes recommended and oh not to forget the Macaroni n Cheese...yes we had a feast.
Ventured into this gem on Sunday for brunch. The ambiance is what makes the place. The breakfast items were OK, not as mind blowing as we had expected. The service was a bit slow considering it wasn't that full. If you go, try the Vijay Singh (a lemonade with masala spice) it is to die for. Will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.
