loved the plantain and the ambiance is rather cosy a good place for kids too
Ambiance over service and food. The Ambiance is rather empowering and enlightening. The Food and Service were average.
Food was nice though prawns slightly overcooked and rice overcooked. The service was extremely slow - it took very long for the main courses to be served. The Rwandese staff member was very helpful.bathrooms can be upgraded - felt like a downtown bar.
Ambience was lovely. Went on a Wednesday(yesterday) and enjoyed the band (hot sounds). Service was terrible! There weren't many guests yet it took almost an hour to get drinks. There was another large group who's table took more than an hour to clear after they left! The management needs to look at this seriously!
I had dinner at Le Palanka on 3 September. The food was DELICIOUS. However, my poulet yassa was cold by the time I received it, otherwise I would have rated it 5. The staff are very friendly and our waitress Sheila was efficient and capable. We were a big group of 8 and she handled our many requests and our sometimes indecision with patience and a smile, which we appreciated. However I went back to Le Palanka the next day for a takeaway order of plantain and found there was no plastic container to put my order in, the tomato sauce was cold and the staff tried to overcharge me. The host intervened to set things right. The waitresses I encountered didn't seem too concerned. I couldn't believe it was the same restaurant. Le Palanka must not let poor service ruin what is an otherwise lovely restaurant.
