La Dolce Vita

Restaurant Information

Nairobi's La Dolce Vita Restaurant subscribes to the three R's that make Italian food great: rustic, robust, and reasonably priced. The interior is bright and airy with art work from the Federico Fellini film on the walls creating a stylish but unpretentious space for lunch or dinner. Start off with a traditional Insalata Di Mare or Mozzarella Vesuvianna and move to freshly prepared Tagliatelle Dolce Vita with smoked sailfish & vodka. Save room for desserts as they should definitely be on your don't miss list.

a hearty Italian meal, the pasta with truffles is nice as is the home made mozzarella. wonderful food and Patricia is a very gracious host.

Had dinner with family & friends last friday. Food was okay, could have been better. Service was good-Stella served us really well & was patient as we asked lots of questions about the food! I've given 2 stars for ambiance because there were on the baby chair that had been set out for my niece (of course she didn't sit there after we saw that!) and one on the floor as well. Roaches are a big no no!

Fantastic as always, am astounded by the consistency food quality is always the same and served by a smiling waiter.

Dolce Vita gave us an experience below standard last night: stale bread - they then offered to toast it - and a 1000 KES prawn cocktail with four (4) medium-sized prawns - the kitchen later claimed it had been 5. The most surprising part, however, was the manager's reaction who first said he could not do anything about these concerns, then tried to prove us wrong regarding the number of shrimps and made sure we would feel unwelcome. We later turned down the offer for free dessert as we did not want to eat any more; he then shrugged and could not care less. What we were looking for, above all, was respect for our concerns, whether you agree with them or not. Very disappointing!

The ambience was nice, food and service amazing. Only problem tables too small, table for four could not accommodate the food ordered.

It was an excellent dinner that we had at La Dolce Vita. Everyone was so friendly. All the waiters were extremely nice. The service was excellent and the food came out fast even though they were so many people in the restaurant.

Delicious food, and good service and cafe style outside or inside more formal atmosphere options. Good value. We especially enjoy their spinach/ricotta ravioli and lasagna and their cannoli dessert is melt in your mouth wonderful.
