Disclaimer, Hashmis is not and does not pretend to be a high end dining facility. That said, they have perfected a couple of things that make them very successful as both an eatery and business model. One is that they have maintained a consistently standard quality with their whole menu over the years. The food as of the last time I was there 2 weeks ago is exactly the same as I remember it 9 years ago. The barbecues are well balanced, the naans soft and fluffy, the chips always fresh and the sauces are the perfect condiments for all the fare. Second is that these guys are EFFICIENT!!! Even at the height of rush hour when there is a waiting queue for tables, you will hardly feel like you waited too long or that your food took an unreasonable amount of time. To sum up, there are very few barbeque places that can match them in quality and consistency of service. On a heartbreaking note, their branch in Mombasa closed, I feel very vulnerable and despondent as a result!
Love the food and the size of the portion is considerable and they are pocket friendly.
The best BBQ in town. Never disappoints the food quality is good ambience great.
Best place to eat especially if you love lots of meat and you're with a large number of people. The foods are in large quantities and one can even share the meal with a friend. I definitely would recommend it any day.
hashmis is simultaneous to amazing dining with it's soft yet crisp tandoori nans, delicious mouth watering barbeque there best for vegetarians is panner tikka and chips roll no other place beats it in barbeque. It's a place with a very familiar setting which creates a brilliant atmosphere for any family outing. The service is very good food is brought within 10 minutes. However you have to wait in a line if you are eating there especially during ramadhan. but at the end its worth the wait.
