Cafe Kigwa at Safari Park Hotel

Safari Park Hotel, Thika Road, Nairobi

Restaurant Information

Centrally placed within the grounds, overlooking the luxurious Kigwa lagoon pool and inland beach, the Café Kigwa blends the bustle of a New York deli with the chic of a Parisian street café. Dishes range from burgers to salads and from pastas to kebabs, with a feature of international culinary delights. A sumptuous buffet selection for breakfast and lunch is served at the restaurant. Far Eastern visitors will be delighted to know that we have now extended our Anglo-American breakfast to incorporate a Korean Corner, which has been specially designed to meet the tastes of our increasing numbers of Korean, Chinese and Japanese guests. The Korean Corner offers, amongst other delights; Wakame (traditional seaweed soup) and traditional Korean kimchi. At the Café Kigwa, the weekend comes alive with family brunch, live music and a children’s fun park complete with bouncy castle, face-painting, clowns and all the fun of the fair. A children’s menu is available. A part of Café Kigwa, and overlooking our inland lake and sparkling pool deck, our al fresco poolside bar offers cooling breezes, hot cocktails, and a wide range of wines, spirits, beers and non-alcoholic choices.

The first time I visited Safari park I went to Cafe Kigwa, the place is practically open even past midnight, the prices are pocket friendly, the food is amazing and the ambiance is breath taking I remember I sat at two different places outside near the pool and inside just to experience both worlds.I always do Cafe Kigwa when I want a romantic night out with my partner.

Its become tradition for our family to do birthday dinners at this restaurant and the quality of food is always up to par, I also really like that the manager, Charles is always so nice to us, also the cocktails are really good!!

The buffet is quite extensive and you can't miss something to eat. The food is tasty though and very fresh and so are their juices. For those with children the weekends are very ideal as they serve brunch and they have entertainment to cater for the kids.
