I had ordered a takeaway cake and when received it, seems like it was smooched already before it was placed into the plastic takeaway container. And I think it had water in it as it tasted like water was added on top of the cake. Highly unfriendly service too. Makes me also rethink other art café locations altogether.
Been to Art caffe three times. Two of out of the three times, my order was messed up. The first time I went there, I had breakfast. Ordered pancakes which took a while to come. They were too soft and broke into pieces; anytime I tried to pick up a piece with the fork, it would just fall all over. Second time was fine because I only ordered a cuppuccino. My third and last time was a disaster. I ordered a 700 shilling bacon sandwich and there was more bread than ever. The chunks they gave me were so huge and was given 3 tiny bacon bits with a lot of lettuce. I had to complain to the manager before something was done. After this I no longer feel like giving the restaurant a try. Their staff is also not empowered to give solutions for issues raised and just say "this is how it's always been". It a nice place to meet friends or work but It has honestly changed made me skeptical about the other branches.
Work on your Blueberry cheesecake, seems to be falling apart once you try and scoop for a bite.
As soon as art caffe moved in, that space in the middle of Yaya has been bustling with activity. There's rarely a seat, which I take as a positive sign. I sat at the bar and had coffee and a pastry. They sell out of most pastries in the morning and have a reduced menu because of a smaller kitchen, but they don't that that slow them down
