Home away from home especially between 4 and 7pm (happy hour EVERYDAY) . Food is great, really good selection of salads, they could do a little bit of a starter revamp, all the baked goods are top quality & the variety is unmatchable...the cocktails are fantastic, its hard to stick to one particular one. Love the ambience, service is just okay, and the coffee is good. One last thing, the prawn pasta dish only has 3 prawns that you can barely locate, it would be nice if they doubled that number. Love, Love, Love!
The drinks were amazing. Service was crappy. They took forever to get there. Then we ordered for pastries which we were duly informed were finished. Which would have been cool if a couple who walked in 30 minutes later didn't get pastries. So we called the waitress again and she claimed they were still finished. I am guessing there is a secret word you need to say to get these 'celebrity' pastries. Sips croissant
Had a funny experience in Jan 2015 that I still laugh about to date. I saw 'DAWA' on the menu thinking it was a concoction favorite for curing flu! but alas, upon being served, it was vodka on the rocks! Might I add that I was out for LUNCH with my bosses? I still laugh but I enjoyed the meal and ambiance all the same! Kudos.
We went in Tuesday for the pizza fest and of course happy hour. One of us in our party wanted Carlsberg with the pizza. The waitress consulted a few times with the manager as they both had no idea about the beer collaboration. She even brought the newsletter and we showed her the eatout ad. Needless to say Lavington do not sell Carlsberg beer and are not stocking it for the festival. Other than that the service was excellent and the cocktails and pizza did not disappoint.
The decor is lovely. The music is perfect for those sunny summer days. I went there for lunch and the waiters were very friendly and attentive. I had a tuna sandwich, my partner had the red snapper. The Tuna sandwich is heavenly, and their olives have a bang to them. The snapper could however have been a bit more flavorful. All in all, it was a lovely experience, would definitely recommend it.
