Grace's Review ‹ Back to About Thyme
It was about time I kicked About Thyme out of my bucket list :) My dear friend and I had a lovely lunch experience during the Nairobi Restaurant Week 2017 :) The hot Sunday afternoon was quickly gone once we got there. The ambiance really stands out with its breathtaking combination of nature and art! The service was also great and I loved the way the waitstaff would strategically station themselves to ensure no one had a had time searching frantically when they were ready to order (very hard to see this anymore). Being the last day of NRW2017, we made sure that we tried their renowned spicy chicken rigatoni tossed in a spicy tomato concasse with chicken strips. Let's just say, we were not disappointed! It was spicy, but not too much that one can't enjoy. Plus, the side salad helps. For dessert, we both had the caramelised bread and butter pudding - served hot with custard & the peanut butter ice-cream pie - drizzled with chocolate fudge sauce (good for sweet tooth cravings). Their house wine is also to die for! Definitely going back!
