Fatima's Review ‹ Back to Sher-E-Punjab at Travellers Beach Hotel
For the mid to high end price ranges, it was completely not worth it. We ordered the mushroom sauce, fish tikka and naan for dinner. The fish tikka was not fresh and we essentially left most of it, the mushroom sauce was comparatively better but still bland and the naan was alright at best as far as naan goes. The overall experience was what I would call "when you have few other choices" dining. As far as Punjabi cooking goes, the fare doesn't do justice to the flavour and tastes of the region. Diani itself doesn't have a large variety of choices when it comes to specific cuisines and perhaps being the (only?) Indian restaurant in the town, the monopoly of it could have influenced the quality, or lack of it. To be fair, the ambiance was not bad at all, cosy and nicely lit. Unfortunately, beyond that, I wouldn't be recommending it, the summative word for our experience was BLAND!
