General FAQs A) How do I make a reservation? There are 2 ways. Call +254 711 222 222 and we will take your restaurant booking. Or visit a restaurant's page and click on the 'Book Now' button. B) How do I write a restaurant review? Restaurant reviews can be made anonymously or by a registered user through the site. Simply visit the restaurant page for which you want to write a review and enter your review in the section titled “Write for a Bite”. Additionally, after you have visited a restaurant (when making a reservation or booking a table at a restaurant through EatOut), we will send you an email with a link to a page where you can write a review for that restaurant. C) I cannot find a specific restaurant. Why? Our team is working hard to ensure we are listing as many restaurants as possible, but we also need your help. Tell us which places we are missing and encourage the restaurant to fill out the restaurant listings form here. D) How do I add a restaurant to EatOut? Restaurant owners or managers can request to list their establishment on EatOut here. E) How do I get EatOut on my phone? Open your mobile phone browser (android or iOS) and access www.eatout.co.ke. Our site is optimised for mobile viewing. Once the page is opened, please select "Add to Home Screen" and you will find the site easily on your phone. Please also stay tuned for our mobile application. F) I have another question/concern not listed here. Simply click on the button in the top right of the screen titled “Login / Register”. You will be taken to a Log in page. 2. Click on the button titled “Create Profile”, which can be found in the bottom right of the “Login to EatOut” box; you will be taken to the country-specific profile page. Either: a. Click on “Signup with Facebook”; A window will open where you will have to authorise Facebook access. b. OR Enter your personal details. 3. Remember to check the box titled “I agree to the Terms of Service” 4. Click the “Sign up” button Congratulations! You now have a profile on EatOut. B) How do I Login? 1. Simply Click on the button in the top right of the screen titled “Login / Register”. 2. You will be taken to a Log in page 3. Either login with your Facebook 4. Or enter your user email and password. 5. Congratulations you have now logged in to EatOut C) Forgot your password? 1. Simply Click on the button in the top right of the screen titled “Login / Register”. 2. You will be taken to a Log in page. 3. Click on the “Forgot your password” section, which can be found in the above the “Log in” button. 4. You will be prompted to enter the Email Address that you used to register. D) How do I edit my information? 1. When you are logged in, click on the down arrow next to the “Me” button in the top right of the screen. 2. From the drop down menu choose “Edit Profile” 3. You will be directed to a screen where you can change your profile information. *Please note that if you have linked your account with Facebook, you can only edit your information by changing your information on Facebook. E) How do I change my profile picture? You can change your profile picture on the Edit Profile page*. *Please note that if you have linked your account with Facebook, you can only change your image by changing your image on Facebook. F) What can others see if they follow me? If someone follows you, you will get points and you can also see them in your network of followers. Someone who looks at your profile or follows you can see all of your public activity, which includes reviews, comments, restaurants you have added to your favourite, wishlist, or been lists, and your network of followers. They are not able to see the bookings you have made G) What are the points for? Points mean two things: 1. Points can be used to redeem different offers at the restaurants. 2. Accumulation of points also enables you to move to different social-foodie tiers, giving you different labels on the sites and additional benefits. H) How can I delete my account? Accounts cannot be deleted, as we need an account to verify the reviews. I) What happens if I deactivate my Facebook account? You will not be able to log into your profile on EatOut.
